Flat Creek Baptist Church has opened registration for its 2010-2011 session of the Fine Arts Academy, offering instruction in music and art for children, youth and adults. Sessions will be held based on the desire of students and the availability of teachers. Lessons will be taught weekly at Flat Creek and will be scheduled in mutual agreement with teachers, students, and the church calendar.

Each session includes twelve 30-minute lessons taught in three quarters — fall (Aug. 9 – Oct. 25) , winter (Nov. 1 – Feb. 7), and spring (Feb. 14 – May 16), with appropriate breaks during the session for holidays, etc. The culminating recital is scheduled for May 24, 2011, at Flat Creek.

Instruction will be offered in acoustic guitar, bass guitar, clarinet, percussion, euphonium, French horn, saxophone, trombone, flute, oboe, organ, piano, trumpet, strings, voice and art.

The annual registration fee is $25 per person/family and must be paid in order to be assigned a teacher and lesson time. The monthly class fee is due at the time of the first lesson and will be paid to the teacher. Payment of all fees must be current to participate in the recital.

Registration and tuition fees are non-refundable.
