Doris S. Meier, 97, of Fayetteville, died June 18, 2010.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl F. Meier, Jr.

She is survived by her sons Harry Jay and Brenda Meier of Fayetteville and Carl F. Meier III of Griffin; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; 1 great-granddog; brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Evelen Spivey of Marietta; sister-in-law Laura Spivey of Smyrna; and various nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Rev. Paul Carder officiating. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
