John Edward Hallwood, 64, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010. He was a devoted husband and caring father, a man of character, and great faith. His sense of humor will be missed by his friends and family. Mr. Hallwood grew up in Miami, FL, attended Miami High School and University of Florida. After service in the Air Force, he was a pilot for Eastern Airlines for 25 years, owner of Prime Time Paintball in Senoia and more recently a trader on the foreign currency exchange. As an active member of the Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, he taught Sunday School and Bible Studies. An avid power boat racer out of Miami in his earlier years, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and photography.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lane Carey Hallwood, and his son, Patrick Hallwood. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, 101 Carriage Lane, Peachtree, City, GA.
