0Steven Calvin Knowles, 55, of Griffin, formerly of Fayetteville, died May 16, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Eleanor Knowles. He is survived by his son Kenneth Knowles and fiancé Marti Boyd of Griffin; grandchild Mary Katherine Evans of Monroe; brothers Tony and Connie Knowles of Griffin, Larry and Geraldine Knowles of Barnsville, and Michael and April Knowles of Hollonville; sisters Tammy Knowles of Hogansville and Tonya and Chris Collier of Williamson; step-daughters Christy and Duncan McFate of South Carolina and Angel and Joey Eaton of Griffin; and close friend Lisa Johnson of Griffin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Rev. Ray Waters officiating. Burial will be Friday at 1:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society, 26 Springhedge Court, Smyrna, GA 30080 .
