Mrs. Linda Cranford Harrison, 71, of Brooks and formerly of Jonesboro, died May 15, 2010.
She was born and raised on a farm in Arab, AL to the late Gurtice and Arah Cranford. She moved to Jonesboro, GA after her marriage to John M. Harrison. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and caring for others. Her greatest joy came from her three grandchildren and her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Harrison; brother James Cranford; sister Ann Wright, sister-in-law Margaret Cranford and nephew Jamie Cranford. She is survived by her daughter April & David Mowell of Brooks; her grandchildren Harrison, Grayson, and Macie Rose; brother Marlyn Cranford of Jackson, AL, nieces and nephews Shannon, Leah, Marty, Nicky, Kim, Jason, Kahla, Aaron, Garrison, Lauren, Clay, Hayden, Gaines, Kaitlin, and Harmony Annalise.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM (CST) in the chapel of Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 Wednesday morning. Rev. Chris Perkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Arab City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mowell Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
