Bible Baptist Christian Students advance to National Fine Arts Competition

Joel Felton, a senior at Bible Baptist Christian School, came in first in Georgia for his humorous interpretation of Before a Bakery Showcase.

Felton was one of several BBCS students that brought home first place honors from the recent Georgia Association of Christian Schools Fine Arts competition. Others included David Borton, Brass Solo; Rebekah Borton, Sacred Piano/Organ Duet, Sacred Piano Duet, Woodwind Solo; Sarah Borton, String Solo; Carl Floury, Extemporaneous Speaking; Josiah Henry, Bible Quizzing, Sacred Piano/Organ Duet, Sacred Piano Duet; and Jonathan Hicks, Bible Quizzing, Old Testament Testing.

In addition, the school’s Concert Band, Handbell Ensemble, Handbell Choir, Concert Choir, and Clarinet Trio placed at the top.

These students will represent Georgia at the American Association of Christian Schools National Competition to be held at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina on Apr. 13-16.
