A rare book chronicling the Russo – Japanese War was presented to North Georgia College and State University on Feb. 24 by Major General Jack Wheeler (Class of 1961).
The book had been the property of LTC Robert Ladd of Fayetteville, a member of American Legion Post 105, Fayette County. Colonel Ladd donated the rare volume to the Post, who in turn donated the book in memory of Colonel Herman Miller, a long term member and leader of the Post.

Colonel Miller was a 1948 graduate of North Georgia College, and was the last full time bugler of the Corps of Cadets.
