Fayette-Starr’s Mill Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution recently placed a display in the Peachtree City Library Children’s Department celebrating the Georgia signers of the Declaration of Independence and African Americans who were part of the American Revolution.

The display included biographies of the signers, some little known facts about the time period.  One African American involved in the war was Prince Whipple, pictured in the famous painting of Washington crossing the Delaware.

Books about the American Revolution were included in the display.  A donation by Jim Wingo has enabled the Library to add many new books about the American Revolution for younger readers.
