0Candice Smith, 19, of Brooks passed away February 27, 2010. Candice was a sophomore at Oxford College at Emory University and a member of Brooks United Methodist Church .
Survivors include her parents Chandra & Marion Smith of Brooks; brother Jason Smith; grandmother Lenore Weaver; and also aunts, uncles, cousins, and a glorious church family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Brooks United Methodist Church with Rev. Lesley Langford, Rev. Derek Porter, and Rev. Steve Schofield officiating. Ms. Smith will be in state at 12 noon. The burial will follow at Brooks Memorial Cemetery .
The family will receive friends Friday 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family request donations be made to Brooks UMC missions (770) 719-7593, Grady Memorial Hospital Trauma unit www.gradyhealthsystem .org, or The Shepherd Center www.shepherd.org.
