Marion C. Handley

Marion C. Handley, 84, Fayetteville, died Jan. 30, 2010. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Handley. He had served in the United States Air Force in the Pacific Theatre in World War II. He was graduated from Concord College, Athens, W. Va., in 1960. He began working for Delta Air Lines in 1960 and later retired in 1990 as a flight controller. He was a member of Fayetteville Presbyterian Church where he was a deacon and an elder.

Services were at the Fayette Presbyterian Church with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, College Park. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marjorie S. Handley, Fayetteville; daughters, Becky Handley, Duluth, and Nancy H. and Joe McCord, Norcross; grandchildren, Harrison McCord, Duluth, and Steven McCord, Norcross; and a sister, Evelyn Eary, Richmond, Va. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
