The Starr’s Mill High School Drama Department recently awarded over $7,000 in scholarships at the Miss Starr’s Mill High School Scholarship Pageant. Katie Iampietro, a senior, was crowned Miss Starr’s Mill after two nights of preliminaries and a final night of competition. Katie Iampietro, a senior, was crowned Miss Starr’s Mill after two nights of preliminaries and a final night of competition.

Other semi finalists included: Analise Dennis, Emi Murata, Liz Buckalew, Logan Strnad, Marleigh Nichols, and Caroline Balkovetz. Balkovetz also was the winner of the Zach Stutts Thespian Performing Arts Scholarship and Shelly Evans won the Alcan Quality of Life Scholarship.

Scholarship donors of the annual pageant are: Dr. Scott McPherson, The Southern Federal Credit Union, Dr. Jay Burney, Chick Fil A, Hella, Alcan, and Angela Chiasson.
