Brenda Kay Tyree Smith, 56, Fayetteville, died Jan. 4, 2010. She was a 1971 graduate of Fayette County High School and had worked for the Federal government for 25 years. Services were at the Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Warren Huddleston officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Garry Smith, Fayetteville; stepsons, Matthew and Lori Smith, Jesup, and Daniel Smith, Brunswick; grandchildren, Emily, Connor, and Dawson Smith, Jesup; parents, C.D. and Edna Tyree, Fayetteville; brother, Tom and Chris Tyree, Meansville; and sisters, Debbie and John Taylor, Attala, Ala., and Barbara and Darrell Bruce, Fayetteville. Memorial donations may be given to the Fayette County Chapter, Cancer Society Relay for Life, 301 Kelly Dr., Ste. 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269, or UMCOR, United Methodist Committee on Relief, P. O.
