The Fayette County “Wreaths Across America” Dedication Ceremony will be held this Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Fayetteville City Cemetery.  At 10 a.m., cadets from the Civil Air Patrol, Falcon Field Composite Squadron GA-116, will begin laying over 100 Christmas wreaths, donated by local citizens, on the graves of our veterans buried there.
The wreaths are to remember these veterans during the holiday season and to honor their military service and sacrifice.  Then, shortly before noon, the dedication ceremony will be held. Similar wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and other national and local cemeteries across America are all timed to begin at noon. This patriotic ceremony is free and the public is encouraged to attend www.wreathsacrossamerica.org.
Each wreath is sponsored by the generous donations from Civil Air Patrol cadets and their families, members of the local American Legion and VFW posts and many local citizens.
