Gail Welborn, 62, of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away on October 16, 2016.

Born February 14, 1954 in Augusta, Ga., she was the daughter of Ann Mincey and the late J. B. Mincey. Gail was raised in Waynesboro, Ga. where she met and married her spouse of 44 years, Skip Welborn. After moving to Martinez, their son, Brad was born and Gail graduated from Augusta College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. In 1982, the family moved to Peachtree City, where their daughter, Katie was born.

Gail volunteered at Peachtree City Fire Department for several years. One of her many passions in life was being a nurse and taking care of people, specifically geriatric patients.

Gail had a passion for life and loved her family. She enjoyed working in the yard, yearly family trips to Hilton Head Island, hunting, fishing, and the GA Bulldogs. She also enjoyed the Atlanta Braves traveling to watch their play-off and World Series games. Spending weekends at the lake with her family was another enjoyment for Gail.

She is survived by her husband, Kermit W. “Skip” Welborn; son, Brad (Cara) Welborn, Lilburn; daughter, Katie (Mike) Donnelly, Senoia; grandchildren, Dyllon Welborn, Bailey Donnelly, and Allie Donnelly; mother, Ann Mincey, Blairsville; sister, Becky (Butch) Quick, Blairsville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 30 in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Chapel, Peachtree City with a reception to follow.
