PTC cops bust "Walking Dead" cast member for pot, DUI, speeding 107 mph

The cast member who plays Father Gabriel on AMC’s “The Walking Dead” was arrested in Peachtree City on May 3 for driving at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour on Ga. Highway 74.

Seth K. Gilliam, 46, was charged with speeding, reckless driving, DUI alcohol and misdemeanor marijuana, according to records.

Peachtree City police reports indicate that Gilliam was stopped on May 3 at approximately 2:12 a.m. after traveling approximately 107 miles per hour along Hwy. 74 at the intersection with Georgian Park. Gilliam was stopped by officers and taken into custody at the intersection of Senoia Road and Hwy. 74.

The police report stated that Gilliam applied the brakes prior to passing the officer and was still traveling at 107 miles per hour.

Officers at the scene reported smelling alcohol on Gilliam’s breath and finding a marijuana cigarette inside a cigarette pack in the arm rest of the door, according to reports.

Asked why he was driving at that rate of speed, Gilliam said he normally drove a Jeep and the Chevrolet he was driving was a rental vehicle and it was different, officers said.

Upon arriving at the Fayette County Jail, a field sobriety test was administered with Gilliam’s consent. Subsequent to the test Gilliam was charged with DUI alcohol after registering a blood alcohol reading of .107. Gilliam told officers he had consumed three beers and one shot of alcohol, the report said.

Gilliam plays Father Gabriel Stokes on The Walking Dead and has appeared in a number of movies and television productions, according to IMDb.com.

Sweet Jesus - the devil got to him!
That's what you get for dissing Rick, Carol, Daryl and the rest of the family!
rmoc....amen. From the way this reads, he was on his way to work, not going home. I mean, is this the way you prepare for the role? At least Scotty was headed home and not to the office a few years ago. Guess we will need to add new route for the CVB film tour van. Only for the 2AM Sunday night tours, though.

Another not so shining moment in TWD Chad Coleman (Tyreese) went on a rant on a subway in NYC Friday. If you are unlucky enough to have to ride a NYC subway, the last thing you need is to listen to this: http://www.tmz.com/videos/0_wih89fid
There was no damage to property and no injury to others but the fine he will pay and probation and/or jail time served will be greater than what will be imposed on the Peachtree City Police Chief who shot and paralyzed his ex wife while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Shame!
How did he get past the Tyrone trap? They usually watch 74 after dark.
Appears to me he was headed north. It appears I was wrong....Tyrone PoPo were probably sleeping. :). Big missed fine for them.
Spy unless he followed him up into Tyrone, I believe he was stopped at the Carmichael-Hemperley funeral home intersection area. At least, that is the way I read it. I haven't read the police report. Happy Cinco de Mayo, compadre.

He was going south and I don't care who he plays on TV - he's an out of control idiot and there is no excuse in the world that works. He was clocked at Georgian Park then further south at Senoia Road - the funeral home, he was stopped. Probably takes that far just to stop from 107mph. Can't imagine Tyrone missing him. In fact I can't imagine someone with his employer not warning him about Tyrone and PTC. Good job police.
Yes, after re reading that appears to be correct....too fast for 74 in any case.
Wonder if Father Gabriel stopped by the church on the corner of Main & Johnson St. yesterday after hisbigadventure. The marquee board out front says this "God wants you in his custody all week, not just on weekends." Either that or a church with a sense of humor. Seriously, check it out.
Boston Herald article about Father G says he has a history of questionable behavior. Time to write him off and carry on. Too bad, what a way to ruin your future. Talent only goes so far. http://www.bostonherald.com/inside_track/celebrity_news/2015/05/walking_dead_actor_seth_gilliam_arrested_for_dui
