The 2021 graduation rate for Fayette County’s students involved in Career and Technical Education (CTE) is 97.87, inching up over a tenth of a percentage point from last year.

Fayette’s rate is over eight tenths of a percentage point more than that of the state’s graduation rate of 97. In comparison to the other 187 school systems in the state with CTE programs, Fayette’s CTE graduation rate is in the top 53 percent.

This rate – which applies to students who complete a Career Pathway – exceeds Fayette’s overall graduation rate by 8.17 percentage points, underscoring the relevance and effectiveness of CTE opportunities.

Whitewater High had a 99.44 percent graduation rate for 2021, followed by Starr’s Mill High with 99.4 percent, McIntosh High with 97.59 percent, Fayette County High with 96.9 percent, and Sandy Creek High with 94.59 percent.

Fayette County’s CTE Programs give students the competitive advantage needed for college acceptance and/or entrance into the workforce.

With a choice of multiple career pathways and the opportunity to participate in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), students have the opportunity to explore their career interest and attain the knowledge and abilities that businesses and industries desire for high-demand, high-skilled, high-wage occupations.
