UPDATED — 1 wounded, 1 arrested in domestic shooting in Fenwyck subdivision

UPDATED — Fayetteville Police have a suspect in custody from a domestic shooting that took place on Wednesday afternoon in the Fenwyck subdivision off North Jeff Davis Drive.

Alphonso Watts, 50, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to Fayetteville Police Department spokesperson Ann Marie Burdett.

According to police reports, two male adults who are related had engaged in a domestic dispute resulting in one of them being injured and transported to an area hospital, and the other one being arrested.

The injury is not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

There are no other suspects related to this incident. Detectives are actively investigating the case, and more information will be shared when it becomes available.
