Members of Christ’s Church at Whitewater in Fayetteville hosted a barbecue fundraiser for the Fayette Care Clinic. The clinic provides a medical home for lower income and uninsurable patients. Fifty pork shoulders, provided by the church, were rubbed, smoked, cooked and sold, with all the proceeds going to the clinic.

Senior pastor Stephen Carpenter remarked, “It is important to remind ourselves and our community that we are still on mission. Despite the restrictions imposed on us by the pandemic, the church continues to function and to serve. We are delighted to help fund our local clinic.”
