The S.A.G.E. group at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church (Senior Adults Going Everywhere) takes monthly trips, usually around the state, to sight-see, have lunch and fellowship.

This month they attended the Georgia Apple Festival and Antique Car Show in Ellijay.

Next month (Nov. 14) they will travel to Conyers and visit the Monastery of the Holy Spirit and Monastic Heritage Center. The cost is $20 which includes lunch, travel and a donation to the monastery. The group will depart the church at 9 a.m. and will return approximately 3 p.m. Registration should be done no later than Nov. 7. Deposits should be placed with Connie at the church office.

Other tentative trips include Christmas at Callenwolde on Nov. 8, Sanders Family Christmas (date to be announced), and a visit to the Civil War Naval Museum on Jan. 26.

All trips are dependent on driver availability and a 15-person minimum.

Other activities for seniors at FFUMC include the Seasoned Singers, the Senior Chimes, Titus II (luncheons with programs), and the Walking Club.

FFUMC is at 175 Lanier Ave. in downtown Fayetteville.
