Last chance at rabies vaccination Oct. 8

Coweta County Animal Control will hold its last rabies clinic for the year on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 1–3 p.m. at the Animal Shelter at 97 Selt Road. Micro-chipping will also be available. All cats and kittens should be in a crate and all dogs on a leash. Rabies vaccine will be $9 per animal and micro-chipping will be $25 per animal. Coweta Animal Control accepts cash only. Current rabies vaccines are required by state law.

Coweta Animal Hospital will also perform heartworm tests on dogs for $20 and selling heartworm prevention medication. Citizens must bring in the animal’s heartworm negative proof in order to purchase heartworm prevention medicine. Citizens can also purchase flea and tick prevention (Frontline Plus) for both cats and dogs. Coweta Animal Hospital will accept check or cash.
