On Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, Marilyn Dyar Mansch passed away at her residence in Tyrone, Ga., surrounded in love by family and friends. 

Marilyn was 56 years old and had fought a courageous battle with cancer. She is now at peace in the loving arms of Jesus. 

 Marilyn is survived by her loving  husband of 32 years, John; daughter, April Mansch Volstorf; grandchildren Cameron and Brian Volstorf of Orlando, Fla.; Mother Barbara Dyar; and Brother Phillip Dyar (Jane) of Cantonment, Fla.; twin sister Carolyn Morrison (Ray) of Dothan, Ala.; sister Linda Price of Pensacola, Fla.; and niece Jennifer Guy of Milton, Fla.

 Marilyn and her twin sister Carolyn were born Oct. 5, 1954 in Winter Garden, Fla. While Marilyn and Carolyn were employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., she met and married her husband, John, while he was serving in the United States Marine Corps. 

 While the couple was stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Marilyn was a top producer with Century 21 and also taught real estate courses.

 After John’s retirement from the USMC, they lived in Orlando, Fla., where they owned and operated a successful business. In August 2004, they relocated to Tyrone, Ga., where John is currently employed by the city of Union City.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. John Warnock officiating.   Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. Those wishing may send an online condolence at www.parrottfuneralhome.com.
