Mrs. Rose Neiner, age 93, of Sharpsburg died at her home following a lengthy illness. 

She was born on Jan. 31, 1918 in St. Charles, Mo. to the late Albino Bizelli and Alva Sarah Bishop Bizelli. 

Music was very important in her life. She frequently entertained family and friends in her home and will be remembered as a gourmet cook with a tremendous sense of humor. 

Mrs. Neiner was a charter member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gene Neiner; brother, Omar Bizelli and sister, Shirley Bizelli Luerding. Surviving are her daughters, Dr. Yvonne “Bonnie” Neiner Maguire and her husband Mic, and Rosanne Neiner Swiatek and her husband Andrew all of Sharpsburg; 4 grandchildren and 4 great granddaughters. 

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.higginshillcrestchapel.com. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with Father Dan Fleming officiating. 

A reception was held at the church at the conclusion of the service with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home on Sunday, 6-8 p.m.
