Sara Florine Ferrell Coggin, 88, died Jan. 23, 2010. She was born July 17, 1921, the second of three children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Rebecca “Beckie” Sprayberry Ferrell, a brother, Duke Ferrell, and her husband, Harold George Coggin. Prior to her retirement she was employed at Custom Draperies. She had attended Sardis Baptist Church.
Services were at McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Bobby Helton officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Survivors include her children, Peggy and Ron Schuster, and Kenny and Susan Coggin, all of Newnan, and Doug and Melody Coggin, Maccleny, Fla.; a sister, Lillian Ferrell Hammock, Newnan; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
