0A gas leak that occurred in the late morning hours June 27 after construction crews on Ga. Highway 74 South hit a gas line is expected to be repaired around noon. Motorists are asked to avoid the area until the repair is made.
Fayette County Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson Donnie Davis at 11 a.m. said the gas line was hit in the area of Hwy. 74 South between Redwine Road and Manor Drive.
Davis said gas company crews are on the way and are expected to have the line repaired near noon. Davis asked motorists to avoid the area until that time.
