The Twilight Theatre will hold auditions for their first summerstock production of 2011, the family musical spectacular “The Wizard of Oz,” on May 13 and 14 at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Amazing stage magic, beautiful costumes, lavishly staged musical numbers and a full orchestra will bring this masterpiece to the stage at the Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City on July 21, 22, 23 and 24 at 8 p.m.
This is the full MGM music version with such favorite songs as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “We’re Off To See The Wizard,” and “If I Only Had a Brain.” Over 80 performers will be cast in this show directed by Tammy Barton and music directed by Rae Litowich, and not everybody has to sing.
“Families love to perform together in Twilight’s summerstock productions,” said Director, Tammy Barton. “For many families, it’s a summer tradition. And with a cast of ages 7 to 107, everybody can follow this yellow brick road.”
