Hopewell to host chicken barbecue, yard sale, bake sale, car wash May 21

Tyrone’s Hopewell United Methodist Church will hold its annual Chick-N-Que on Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $7.50.

The meal cosists of a barbecued chicken half, coleslaw, baked beans, bread, and iced tea. Proceeds from the Chick-N-Que fund the many mission projects of the church.

In addition to the Chick-N-Que, there will also be a yard sale, and a bake sale, and the youth will sponsor a car wash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Members of the community are invited to rent space at the yard sale for a fee of $20. Call Pat Powers, 770-632-9050, for information.

All activities will take place at the church, 351 Jenkins Rd., across from Sandy Creek High. Advance tickets for the Chicken-N-Que may be purchased from the church office, 770-306-7537.
