The Sixth Interfaith Luncheon was hosted in Peachtree City on Aug. 27 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a thank you to all those who contributed to the Smart Lunch Smart Kid summer lunch program this past summer.

Approximately 120 guests attended the luncheon, including Methodists, Muslims, Latter-day Saints, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Baptists, Jews, and Catholics.

Through this program, which is a ministry of Action Ministries in Atlanta, groups can sign up to provide lunches to children who have been on the free/reduced lunch program during the school year. An average of 550-600 lunches were made and delivered each day to Fayette County residents primarily, with the exception of one mobile home park just across the county line in Fulton County.
