Dr. and Mrs. William Owens of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Owens, to Philip Harris, son of Frank and Kaye Harris of Newnan.

The bride-to-be graduated magma cum laude from Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music and is currently teaching general music and chorus at Fayetteville Intermediate School.

The groom-elect is currently working for the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services and attending paramedic school at Southern Crescent Technical College.

The couple will be married Nov. 5, 2011, in Savannah.
