Students, teachers and parents are counting down the days until the end of the school year. Plans for the summer begin long before the final bell rings.

Here is a round-up of camps and summer activities for children of all ages. Many camps fill up quickly so now is the time to sign up!

Seven week-long camps begin June 9

Growing unique gifts, healthy bodies, and good communities are the goals of summer camp at Camp Southern Ground. Campers get away from phones and screens and get into nature with new friends for new adventures. Exploring nature and spending time outdoors are some of the ways kids get a chance to learn. It’s the “Best Summer Ever” at Creative Learning Studios with seven camps plus summer lessons available.

Showstoppers Camp, May 28-30 and July 15-18, is all things Broadway for music theater lovers! Ages 7-12

Seussical Jr. Page-to-Stage, June 3-7, includes a week of practice with a show on Friday. From dsigning and painting the set, props, and more. Suggested age 7-12.

Songwirting Camp, June 10-14, is for tweens/teens who love to write songs. Taught by a Billboard Top Ten Songwriter, writers will learn to write their best music, copyright, how to work with musicians, safely promote themselves on the internet and more!

Summer Piano Camp, June 10-14 and July 22-26, will feature Shannon Bryan teaching campers how to play. Games, friends, music and more are included!

Gamers Paradise Camp, July 8-11, will include board games, memory games, logic games, trivia games, and even video games with tournaments, contest and fun. Ages 7-13

Camp Aloha, July 22-25, is all things Hawaiian, including learning how to play the ukelele. Ages 6-12

Summer lessons will help musicians keep their skills going through the summer.
