0Mr. and Mrs. Terance Murphy of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Elaine Murphy, to Michael Parker Harmon, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Harmon of Peachtree City.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Louise Maciejewski, William Wilkinson, and Jack and Elaine Murphy. She is a graduate of Eckerd College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marine science, and the University of South Florida where she earned a master’s degree in geology. She is currently employed by J. M. Waller Associates in Atlanta.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Herb Smith of Peachtree City and the late Lillian Smith, and John and Jane Harmon. He is a graduate of McIntosh High School and is currently employed by C.W. Matthews Contracting Company of Marietta.
The wedding will take place on April 9, 2011, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville with a reception following at Flat Creek Country Club.
Following a honeymoon in the Florida Keys, the couple will reside in Peachtree City.
