Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Byrd of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Ryan Byrd, to Jarod Richard Mansour, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mansour of Goose Creek, S.C.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia with bachelor and masters degrees in statistics and mathematics education. She currently resides in Athens, Ga., and teaches high school mathematics in the Walton County School System.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Winthrop College in Rock Hill, S.C., with a bachelor’s degree in English, and The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., with a master’s degree in English. He also resides in Athens and teaches English in Walton County.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the Thompson House and Gardens in Bogart. A reception will follow the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Mexico the couple will reside in the Athens area.
