The period of Oct. 26 through Nov. 2 across Fayette county saw several burglaries and entering autos, along with four golf carts stolen in Peachtree City.
Two burglaries and three entering autos occurred in unincorporated Fayette County.
Sheriff Barry Babb said one of the burglaries was reported Oct. 27 at a vacant home on Redwine Road. Yard tools were stolen from the basement, though no signs of forced entry were found, Babb said.
A second burglary was reported oct. 27 at a residence on Grindstone Way, near Ga. highways 85 and 74. Entry was made through a basement window, though nothing was reported stolen, Babb said.
An entering auto was reported Oct. 26 at a residence on Malibu Drive off Milam Road in north Fayette. Babb said a wallet and gold teeth were stolen from the unlocked vehicle.
A second entering auto was reported Oct. 26 at a Brogdon Road residence off Ga. Highway 92 North. Babb said cash and a handgun were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
A third entering auto occurred oct. 26 at a business on Ga. Highway 85 North where a purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle, said Babb.
In Peachtree City, a burglary reported on Oct. 26 on Stamford Avenue occurred at a new home under construction that was not secured. Crews found the dishwasher stolen, said Peachtree City Police Department spokesman Kenneth Ralls.
In a stolen golf cart incident, officers dispatched to a South Peachtree Parkway location on Oct. 26 were told that a golf cart had been stolen, police reports said. A description of the golf cart was not available.
Another golf cart was reported stolen from a business on Crosstown Drive on Oct. 27. The cart was a green 2002 Club Car, reports said.
A third golf cart was reported stolen Oct. 29 from a Long Leaf residence. The golf cart was described as being dark blue with a dark green rain cover, reports said.
A fourth golf cart was reported stolen Oct. 29 at a residence on Peachtree Station Circle. A description of the cart was not available, according to reports.
In Fayetteville, officers responded to a Cutstone Court residence in reference to a burglary, said Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Jeff Harris, adding that the owner of the rental property said the lockbox and keys were missing. A screen was torn, but the house did not appear to have anything missing. There were indications of people occupying the property, Harris said.
