This year marks the 18th running of the annual New Hope Harvest Classic 5K run/walk. The race is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, and the course is USATF-certified. This race has become a tradition on the Southside, attended by runners from all over metropolitan Atlanta.

“We have one of the best race venues around with lots of door prizes, refreshments, entertainment,” said race director Bob Dalton. “The course itself is along a scenic tree-lined route during the peak of leaf season and is part of one of the top 50 runs in Atlanta listed in the Atlanta Running Guide. Door prizes include free car washes, gift cards, gym memberships, and our Grand Prize is a one hour flight in a L-19 Warbird.”

All proceeds benefit New Hope Missions in Wales. Ministries include visiting care homes, schools, prisons, and ministering through community service projects, street connections, and women’s, children’s and student events in the poverty-stricken valleys of Wales.
