The period of June 17-22 came with two golf cart thefts and two entering auto incidents in Peachtree City.
A Crosstown Drive business was the scene of a golf cart theft on June 20. The cart was parked at a business at 8 a.m. and was missing when the owner returned at 5 p.m., according to Peachtree City police reports.
A second golf cart was stolen on June 20. The theft occurred at a business on Huddleston Road, reports said.
One of the entering auto incidents came on June 20 at a Lexington Circle business. The owner said a window on her locked vehicle was broken, with an iPhone stolen from the center console, according to reports.
Also on June 20, a vehicle was entered at the U.S. Post Office on Ga. Highway 74 South. The vehicle’s owner reported that the front passenger window was broken while she was in the post office, and a purse stolen, reports said.
Earlier, June 10-16, thieves hit five vehicles across Fayette County.
Sheriff Barry Babb said a vehicle was stolen on June 12 from the business complex on Bethea Road off Ga. Highway 314. An employee of one of the businesses discovered the theft when arriving at work, Babb said.
An entering auto occurred on June 10 at a Friendship Church Road residence in Brooks. Babb said the homeowner reported that the unlocked vehicle had been entered during the night, with a handgun and cash stolen.
A report of three vehicles entered came on June 12 at a Heather Ridge residence off Ga. Highway 279. The owner found the doors on all three vehicle slightly open, with each having been rummaged through but nothing stolen, said Babb.
