Area golf tournaments took place earlier this week and qualifying teams and individuals have been named for the GHSA state tournament, scheduled for May 21-22.
Individual qualifiers from Area 3-A Private are Jake Allgood and Johnathan Hampton on the boys side and Cameron Daniel for the girls. All three are from Landmark.
Starr’s Mill finished first in Area 2-AAAAA for boys and girls, so both teams go to state. The McIntosh boys qualified with a third-place finish. Individual qualifiers include Jackson Grunden (boys) and Lily Gable (girls), both from Whitewater.
East Coweta will send both of its teams to state, as the girls placed first and the boys were second in Area 2-AAAAAAA.
