There were two incidents of graffiti during the past week, both reported on June 9. One occurred near the intersection of Ardenlee Parkway and Ardenlee Drive near Ga. Highway 74 North. The second graffiti incident occurred on Brighton Path off Kedron Drive. Officers observed a vulgar symbol painted on a fence near the cart path, according to police reports.

The period of June 6-12 saw a burglary and an entering auto incident in Fayetteville.

The burglary occurred on June 11 at the TNT Fireworks store at the Fayette Pavilion. Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said the front door was forced open and a television and approximately $1,000 in fireworks were stolen.

Whitlow said a vehicle was seen leaving the area, adding that detectives are currently investigating the break-in.

The entering auto incident occurred on June 12 at Hudson Plaza on Ga. Highway 85 North.

Whitlow said while in one of the businesses, a customer noticed a black male in a Ford F-150 pickup in the vicinity of his truck. The F-150 soon sped away from the parking lot.

Upon returning to his truck the victim found that two drills, valued at $1,200 each, had been stolen from the bed area of the truck.

A lookout was posted, though the search had to be suspended due to heavy traffic in the area, Whitlow said.
