James “Marvin” Melear, 82, of Ringold, GA died November 22, 2010.

He is survived by his son Alton L. Melear of Hoschton, GA; granddaughter Jessica Lauren Melear of Hoschton; grandson Sgt. Brady Alton and Tammy Melear; great-grandchildren Brayden Lane Melear and Preston Andrew Melear; sisters Dorothy Stephens of Chattahoochee Hills and Edna Mitchell; and brothers Kenneth Melear of Fayetteville and Harvey Melear of Fairburn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church, Rico, with Rev. Ken Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
