It’s voting time again, as two statewide races are headed for the Nov. 30 runoff election.
Voters will be selecting a Supreme Court justice between incumbent David Nahmias, who took 48.2 percent of the vote, and Tammy Lynn Adkins, who got 35.3 percent.
The other race in question is for the Georgia Court of Appeals, as Antoinette “Toni” Davis faces Chris McFadden. Davis was the leading vote-getter in a six-person race with 25.5 percent of the vote, followed by McFadden with 22.6 percent.
Early voting started Monday and runs through Wednesday, Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fayette County Elections office located at the county’s Stonewall government complex in downtown Fayetteville at the intersection of Ga. highways 85 and 54.
The elections office is on the second floor in suite 208, just to the right of the central staircase that serves the building.
Voter turnout is expected to be light, as there are no local races in the contest.
