The Fayetteville Police Department reported on March 3 that the man who robbed the Chase Bank on South Glynn Street on Nov. 19 has been arrested.

Department spokesman Mike Whitlow said Limetrick K. Frederick, 36, of Fayetteville, is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail on armed robbery charges.

Whitlow said Frederick entered the bank at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 19 and demanded all the cash in the teller’s drawer. Frederick received the cash and left the bank on foot, pausing to hold the door for a customer.

Police searched the area after the robbery but were unable to locate Frederick. Late last week investigators received information pertaining to the robbery and linked him with evidence found at the scene, Whitlow said.

Frederick was taken into custody without incident, Whitlow said.
