Fayetteville First Baptist Church will host a free seminar entitled, “GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays” Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church’s worship center, 205 Stonewall Ave. (one block from the Fayette County Courthouse), Fayetteville.
Childcare will be provided if needed.
The seminar is for those facing the holidays after a loved one’s death and features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and others who have experienced this particular type of grief.
Topics to be discussed include “Why the holidays are tough,” What to expect,” “How to prepare,” “How to manage relationships and holiday socials,” and “Using the holidays to help you heal.”
Those who attend will receive a free book with more than 30 daily readings providing additional insights and ideas on holiday survival.
