Robert-Peter-BouthillerRobert Peter Bouthiller, 84, of Newnan, Ga. passed away on January 14, 2017.

He was born on June 20, 1932 to the late Joseph and Dolores Bouthiller in Worcester, Mass.. He attended both grammar and high school at Holy Name of Jesus in Worcester. He went to A & E School in the Air Force, and got a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Worcester Junior College in Worcester.

He started out working for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Southington, Conn. then transferred to West Palm Beach, Fla. in 1981 where he retired in 1989, after a 25 year career of extensive travel around the world, which included living in Pakistan, for over two years. He was also an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

Robert was a member of the Commemorative Air Force Dixie Wings Group of Peachtree City, Falcon Field where he was Project Leader on Dixie Wing P-63 Aircraft. He was awarded numerous awards from the Commemorative Air Force Dixie Wing Group including the “Ray Niehouse Award” which is the highest award that they present.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he was a Past Grand Knight, and had many award both 3rd degree and 4th degree and Robert was also a member of the American Legion of Peachtree City.

Robert was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Newnan where he actively volunteered. He delivered for Meals on Wheels for several years and, he also played Santa Claus for seniors in Newnan, Ga. and for the children at the Catholic Grammar School in Tyrone, Ga.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet M. Roy Bouthiller; brothers, Gerard Bouthiller, Henry Bouthiller and Andrew Bouthiller; and sister, Cecile Bouthiller.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Jones and fiancé, Roye Skinner of Newnan, Ga., Brian and Maria Bouthiller of Peachtree City, Ga., Mark and Julie Moran of Monroe, Ga., Paul and Amy Gwara of Jackson, Ga., and Bruce and Mary Bouthiller of Monticello, Ga.; grandchildren, Rober Jones, Graham Reed, Eric Bouthiller, Brittany Moore, Zack Moore, Brent Bouthiller, Emily Bouthiller, Donald Moran, Anthony Gwara, Alex Gwara, Shawn Moran, Danielle Engle, Jessi Geiger, and Andrew Geiger; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alfred, and Mary Olivia; brother, Joseph and Patricia Bouthiller of Vero Beach, Fla.; sister-in-law, Delores Bouthiller of Sturbridge, Mass.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gerard and Frances Lorion of Springfield, Mass.

A memorial service will be held at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Newnan, Ga. on Saturday, January 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to “Keep ’em Flying” Commemorative Air Force Dixie Wings Falcon Field or to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
