0The Shirley Thomas Cancer Awareness team will host a Cancer Awareness Brunch Saturday, Sept. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the George Porter Fellowship Hall,140 Church St., adjacent to Edgefield Baptist Church in Fayetteville.
The cost is a $10 donation. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
The Shirley Thomas Cancer Awareness team will also host its 10th Annual Shirley Thomas Cancer Awareness Walk on Oct. 9. Meet at the George Porter Fellowship Hall for warm ups at 8:30 a.m. The walk will proceed promptly at 9 a.m. At the conclusion of the walk there will be a Cancer Awareness Rally.
