Megan Colleen Smelley and Wyatt Stanley Martin were married at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church on May 22, 2010. The Rev. Nathan Nix of Dahlonega officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Phil and Bonnie Smelley of Fayetteville and the grandaughter of Peggy G. Freeman of Peachtree City and the late James Thomas McDaniel, and Betty W. Smelley of Atlanta and the late C. A. Smelley Jr. She is a 2005 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and completed her bachelor of science degree in international affairs with highest honors at Georgia Institute of Technology.

The groom is the son of Daniel and Kathie Martin of Habersham County and grandson of Jerry and Beverly Rose of Tiger, and Stanley and Beverly Martin of Toccoa. He is a 2005 graduate of Habersham Central High School and earned his bachelor of science degree in psychology at North Georgia College and State University.

Sister of the bride, Courtney Coan Burnett of Douglasville was matron of honor and Marisa Acree of LaGrange was maid of honor. Bridsmaids included Anna Coan, Julie Koon, Shelby Martin, Katie Martin, Darrah McGuire and Malory Williams.

Avery Burnett served as flower girl.

Best man was Caleb Osborne of Habersham County. Groomsmen were John Baxter, Stephen Hulsey, Tom Keel, Evan Lowell, Caleb Martin, Justin Middleton and Jeremy Moore.

Sam and Daniel Coan served as ring bearers.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin honeymooned in Amelia Island.

They now reside in Athens where they plan to be on staff with Campus Outreach, a campus ministry organization at the University of Georgia.
