Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City has welcomed a new intern pastor, Jonathan Trapp. His focus at Christ Our Shepherd will be in youth and family ministry, administration, and community partnerships.
A graduate of Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minn., Trapp says he envisions his ministry to be as a bi-vocational pastor. He continues in his position as an emergency manager at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, and his internship will be part-time; he will be in Peachtree City two to three days a week. Last year, he served a congregation in Atlanta in a similar role.
After earning degrees at Berry College and the University of Georgia, Trapp began working at the CDC in 2002.
An accomplished guitarist and bass player, he has served as associate developer and head liturgist at House of the Rock worship at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Atlanta.
Trapp and his wife Elizabeth have a son, TJ.
