The period of Sept. 20-26 came with four entering auto incidents in unincorporated Fayette County, and a burglary and an entering auto incident in Fayetteville.
A Sept. 20 burglary at the Smoothie King on Ga. Highway 314 in Fayetteville came with a forced entry after a window was busted in at approximately 5:15 a.m., though nothing appeared to have been stolen, said Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Jeff Harris.
Harris said investigators are reviewing video and are looking for two offenders.
The four entering auto incidents occurred in north Fayette on Sept. 20 and 21.
The Sept. 20 incident was reported at 8:42 p.m. at a residence on West Lane in the Kenwood Landing Mobile Home Park on Milam Road.
Sheriff Barry Babb said a forced entry was made into the bed of a pick-up and construction tools valued at $1,200 were stolen.
Two other entering auto incidents occurred on Sept. 21 at Kenwood Landing. One was on Town Lane where during the nighttime hours when $1,500 in construction tools were stolen while the other was reported on nearby West Lane. Thieves in that incident made off with $3,500 in clothing after a forced entry was made, Babb said.
Babb said the break-ins are under investigation.
A fourth entering auto occurred on Travis Street in the Smithstone Path subdivision off Ga. Highway 314. The Sept. 21 incident resulted in computers stolen from an unlocked vehicle, said Babb.
A vehicle was entered on Sept. 21 at approximately 8:10 p.m. at the O’Charley’s restaurant on Ga. Highway 85 North.
Harris said an iPhone was stolen from the vehicle that was unlocked with the windows rolled down.
