Supporting veterans at home and abroad

Members of the Piedmont Fayette Hospital staff filled 95 boxes for HeroBox, a local nonprofit organization that supports deployed, injured, aging and homeless veterans.

These boxes, filled with items that can provide a slice of home to a soldier overseas or a little comfort to a veteran in need, are being sent today to members of the Air Force on their first or second deployment.

In addition to the items in the boxes, the staff also wrote letters of support to the recipients.
