Timber bridge maintenance and closures

Peachtree City’s contractor will be performing maintenance work on several of the timber bridges along the city’s path system during September and October. This work will require some bridge closures that will require detours.

The work schedule is as follows:

Aug. 31-Sept. 5 – Flat Creek Bridge OPEN (between Morallion Hills and Parkade Court).  Contractors will wash and seal/stain the bridge one lane at a time to allow for traffic.

Sept. 12-22 – Redwine Bridge CLOSED (adjacent to the Preserve Subdivision on Redwine Rd). Contractors will be replacing wood on the bridge, and will wash and seal/stain the bridge.

Oct. 3-7 – Lake Peachtree Bridge CLOSED (on SR 54 adjacent to Lake Peachtree). Contractors will was and seal/stain the bridge.
