The tents were pitched and the crowds were waiting Wednesday afternoon outside the replacement “Midtown” Chick-fil-A restaurant near Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City. Such a sight is customary for each the opening of the company’s restaurants because the first 100 customers receive free food items for a year. The new version of the facility replaces the city’s original Chick-fil-A on that site, which itself took over a building that had been used for a Hardee’s restaurant. Photo/Ben Nelms.
