“Exercise Your Mind. READ!” is the theme for adults this summer at Peachtree City Library. It’s all about health and wellness – and the library is offering two free seminars next week to jump start your journey.
Jeremiah Ellis, manager of the Sleep Center at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, will present a Lunch and Learn seminar called “The Restorative Power of Sleep” Tuesday, July 12, at noon.
Ellis, who has a degree in respiratory therapy and is a registered polysomnographic technologist and respiratory therapist, will talk about the benefits of getting a good night’s sleep and also about how sleep disorders not only cause us to feel tired, but can also negatively impact our overall health. Attendees should bring their own lunch.
Chris Moore from Piedmont Fayette Fitness Center will present “Fitting Exercise into a Busy Life” Thursday, July 14, at 1 p.m.
Most know that regular exercise is part of a healthy lifestyle, but too often work schedules and responsibilities at home keep us from making it a priority. Moore will discuss ways to fit exercise into your busy life.
Both programs are free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.peachtree-city.org/library.
