An old-fashioned Independence Day celebration is scheduled for this weekend on Main Street in historic Moreland.

The Puckett Station Arts and Crafts Market opens Saturday, July 2, at 9 a.m. with fun, food and shopping. The Moreland Community BBQ begins serving at 11 a.m.

A big band concert feature 17-piece Night Train kicks off at 7 p.m.

Special exhibits include a large private model train collection. The Heritage Trade Market features blacksmithing, storytelling, quilting and more. A growers market will be on hand with local produce and homemade goods for sale. There will also be fun games and rides for kids.

The BBQ benefits three Moreland churches: Moreland United Methodist, First Baptist, and Bethlehem Baptist. The Puckett Station event benefits the Moreland Cultural Arts Alliance, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
